Domestic and small commercial electrical installation work across West Sussex. Single new circuits, additional sockets, lighting design, fuse board (consumer unit) upgrades, partial and full rewires, kitchen and extension first-fix wiring, garden and outbuilding feeds. Every install is certified to BS 7671 (Wiring Regs Amendment 2), notified to Building Control under Part P where required, and signed off with the appropriate Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate.
Replacing an older fuse box (re-wireable fuses, or a non-RCD plastic consumer unit) with a current 18th Edition metal-clad consumer unit with RCBO protection on every circuit. Typical 3-bed replacement is a half day on site. Includes earth bonding inspection, supply isolation coordination with your DNO if needed, certificate, and a labelled circuit schedule on the inside of the new board.
If your installation predates 2004 and still has the original wiring, or has been added to piecemeal over the decades, a partial or full rewire brings everything back to current standards. We chase walls cleanly, run fresh PVC twin-and-earth or LSF cable to current circuit limits, install modern back-boxes and faceplates, and certify on completion. Full 3-bed rewire is typically 5 to 8 working days; partial (e.g. ground floor only) can be 2 to 3 days.
Adding sockets to a kitchen or bedroom, fitting LED downlights, garden lighting, EV-ready garage circuit, outbuilding supply, smart-home wiring, home cinema power and AV cabling. Quoted per job after a 30-minute survey.
Working alongside your builder or kitchen fitter, we run all first-fix electrical (sockets, switches, downlights, oven and hob feeds, integrated appliance feeds, extractor isolators) before plasterboarding. Then return for second-fix (faceplates, light fittings, fault-find on commissioning) once the room is plastered and decorated. Coordinated to your builder's programme.
Yes for any new circuit, consumer unit replacement, or work in special locations (kitchens, bathrooms). We notify under Part P as a NICEIC member and the certificate is issued through the NICEIC scheme so it is recognised by lenders, insurers and surveyors.
Yes, this is a big part of our work. We do first-fix to your builder's programme, return for second-fix after plastering and decorating, and certify on completion.
Whole-house rewires need power off room by room as we work, but we keep at least one circuit live at all times so the kettle, fridge and a few sockets stay working. We coordinate the schedule to minimise disruption.
Half a day for a typical 3-bed semi. Slightly longer if the supply needs the DNO to drop the seal for the swap.
Yes, often as a follow-up to one of our own EICRs. Quoted alongside the report so you have a single price for testing and remedial.
